Fruga is a free Chrome extension for Canadians. Point at Place order and it shows which of your cards earns the most, and why. No bank login. No card numbers.

Built for cards from Canada's banks and card issuers
How it works
Search for the cards you own, like "Amex Cobalt" or "Tangerine Money-Back", and add them. Pick your bonus categories where a card lets you choose. No numbers, no logins.
At a checkout, Fruga recognises the store and the order total. A small Fruga reminder waits quietly in the corner.
Your best card slides in, marked with the Fruga symbol. You see its estimated value, why it wins and the next best card. Open it for the full calculation.
The free extension keeps your wallet in your browser on your device, sends nothing to us, and never touches your payment details.
Read the privacy policyFruga never asks for online banking credentials and never connects to your bank in the free extension.
Add cards by product name. A nickname or last 4 digits is optional. Never the full number, expiry or CVV.
Your wallet, point values and settings live in your browser. Export or delete them any time.

What's planned
Fruga for Chrome is in final testing and will be on the Chrome Web Store soon.

Yes. The Fruga Chrome extension is free, with no account and no ads.
No. You add cards by choosing the product, for example "CIBC Costco Mastercard". If you like, you can add a nickname or the last 4 digits to tell two similar cards apart. Fruga never asks for full card numbers, expiry dates, security codes, statements or banking passwords.
Once you turn on checkout detection (Chrome asks for your permission), Fruga recognises checkout pages on its own and reads only the store and the order total. When you point at Place order or Pay, your best card slides in.
Fruga recognises the store you’re checking out at and compares every card in your wallet for that purchase. It recommends the one likely to earn you the most, valued with the point values you choose, so your rewards are maximized every time you shop.
No. In the free extension, everything you enter stays in your browser on your device. It isn’t sent to us or anyone else. Details are in our privacy policy.
